Is Namitha doing a Kiron Kher?
The question everyone is asking is, is Namitha doing a Kiron Kher in her forthcoming film Azhagaana Ponnuthan? Going by the storyline, the answer would be a yes. It is yet another film that chronicles the story of a school boy falling in love with a woman much elder to him. The yet-to-be-released film, however, has always faced problems. It is not because of the selection of a controversial topic, which is so close to High School that it is expected to run into troubles after its release, but because Namitha has always been disappointed with the movie. First, gossip mills say that she has been angry that it is not directed by Kamraj, but by one Thiru. Second, she did not expect that a new hero was going to play the male lead, instead of an established Tamil actor. It is understood that the actress is deliberately not participating in the promotional activities of the film.
